Colin Gibson specialises in strategic industrial relations planning and management as well as the use of change management techniques as practical tools for effective project delivery. His ability to deliver these services has been developed by over thirty five years experience in the oil and gas industry, and the construction industry operating in the resources and infrastructure sectors. He has provided senior industrial relations and general human resources support to offshore production facilities, onshore processing facilities and corporate planning groups in the oil and gas industry. His construction experience covers industrial relations, payroll, human resources, project management and branch management roles. He has particular skills in project planning and execution. This includes policy development and implementation, management training and education, effective recruitment of all levels of employees; quality management and systems; training plan development, needs analysis and the management of safety, health, environment and industrial relations.
Steve Scott has forty years experience in industrial relations and human resources management and consulting. This experience has been gained in both management and advisory positions at field and corporate levels. Before joining the consultancy in 1993, he had been employed as state, and later national, Human Resources Manager for an engineering, procurement and construction management company involved in major resource development in Australia and South East Asia. In the iron ore mining industry he held senior field and corporate industrial relations management roles. He also has experience with an employer organisation providing advice and services to members. His consulting experience has involved him in the construction, construction management, oil and gas production and processing, metalliferous mining and processing, maintenance, infrastructure and service industries.
Kim Davis is a human resource management generalist with some specialisation in human resource modelling, workforce planning and logistics in the resources industries. He holds several degrees relevant to occupational psychology and health science (BAppSc (Psych.), GradDip (Occ.Psych.), MAppSc (Health Science)). Kim is a Licensed Psychologist (WA) and has over twenty five years human resources management experience in mining, government and human resources consulting. Since commencing a consulting career nine years ago he has become sought after by the resources sector to provide advice on roster and associated logistics planning, remuneration and benefits planning, performance management, workforce design, safety performance. Recent emphasis has been on rosters and fatigue and on performance pay in both underground and open pit mining. His industry experience includes iron ore, gold, nickel, phosphate and titanium mining and processing as well as construction and oil and gas.
Jackie Hill combines her qualifications as a migration agent with over 25 years human resources management experience to provide the consultancy with a senior operative who has the skills to assist clients with the establishment, operation and management of an effective human resources service. With an extensive knowledge of the business migration and expatriate management needs in the construction industry and resources sector, she provides not only business migration services but strategic advice on the business planning aspects for effective expatriate use. To this Jackie can add a varied human resources consulting and management record, primarily in the oil and gas production and processing, engineering, construction and mining industries. Activities which she specialises in include remuneration and benefit development and review, recruitment, policy and procedure development, employment contracts and training plan development.
John Flood has over twenty years experience working in the industrial relations, employee relations and human resources framework. He has joined Strategic Human Resources after developing a significant range of skills through the public and private sectors. John's earlier work dominantly focused on the public sector (Labor Relations, Defence, Health, Justice, Construction, Engineering, Transport, Maritime and Housing). Elements of his experience during this period include coordinating half of the WA public sector workforce, negotiating sector-wide contracts and Award conditions, developing redundancy schemes, planning performance management systems and facilitating Commissioner Inquiries. John's most recent work has been in the Hydrocarbons and Mining industries within the private arena. This includes formation of tender proposals to secure new projects, offshore project management, coordinating employee relations, managing HR operations, HR policy and procedure development and negotiating employment contracts. Coupled with this background, John holds a Bachelor of Business (Personnel & Industrial Relations).
Maura Conaglen has an impressive career as a CEO, Practice Manager and Regional Manager in the accounting, business consulting, legal and charitable services industries on both sides of the Tasman. She adds a wealth of general management skills to the efficient operation of the Company. Her background demonstrates skills and experience in strategic planning, marketing, organisational development, and management in the areas of human resources, property, project, IT and administration. She also possesses skills in QA management and systems as well as policy development.
As General Manager, she is responsible to the Board of Directors for office, IT, marketing, and human resources management. She also guides the strategic planning process and develops and implements systems and processes for the day to day and long term health of the business. She coordinates all contractual activity with clients.
Maura is responsible for all aspects of the firm's business management and administration, and is committed to ensuring the maintenance of a quality service to clients.
